Our Mission

ABLE’s mission is to promote an inclusive environment for employees with disabilities through internal advocacy, support and education. We seek to understand the challenges employees with disabilities face and remove barriers in the workplace. ABLE is open to all Wesco employees.

As disability inclusion ambassadors for Wesco, ABLE members:

  • Represent ABLE at career fairs and on college campuses 
  • Utilize our employee referral program
  • Review job descriptions to ensure inclusion
  • Utilize our accommodation process and employee assistance programs 
  • Ensure all digital accessibility requirements are met

Engagement and Development of Diverse Talent

ABLE offers a variety of ways for people to get involved. Our quarterly all-member meetings include inclusion and diversity spotlights, accessibility tech tips, member spotlights and subcommittee updates. We also host bi-monthly networking and support group for parents and caregivers, as well as monthly coffee chats to discuss topics surrounding ASL, mental health, neurodiversity, disability pride and more.

Community and Business Development

Giving back to our communities is an essential part of Wesco’s mission. ABLE engages with a number of external partners to make an impact in the communities where we live and work.
